The gospel of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone is all that is needed as a Christian "Recovery" program because the issues being dealt with are all born of sin. The Romans Road is a beautiful way to present the gospel message.
Below is the audio of a sermon I preached last year on the Romans Road and the scriptures I use when using the Romans Road in sharing the gospel.
Jeremiah 17:9, The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?
Romans 3:10-12, as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one."
Romans 3:23, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 5:12, Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned--
Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 5:8, but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 10:13, For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Romans 10:9-10, because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
Romans 5:1, Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 8:1, There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:37-39, No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Psalm 16:1-11, A Miktam of David. Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
I say to the LORD, "You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you."
As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.
The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply; their drink offerings of blood I will not
pour out or take their names on my lips.
The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot.
The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.
I bless the LORD who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me.
I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure.
For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption.
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are
