The Way Ministry Church remains small but beautiful! Our congregation is an awesome blessing to me as a Pastor and their prayers and love are a great source of praise and gratitude for me. It is awesome that the Lord has brought together brothers and sisters with a desire to see the Church brought 'Back to the Gospel'. We are slowly growing and are in need of a larger location to meet in. We lift this up in prayer knowing that the Lord will provide in His time and as He sees fit.
The last months have been very challenging, but the Lord has expanded the reach of The Way Ministry through Recovery Reformation in an awesome way. In just the last few weeks I have been able to share the gospel with people from Switzerland, Germany, France, the UK, Zambia, Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana, and many other countries as well as all over the United States and Canada. People from all over the world either suffering in addiction or feeling the call to engage in ministry on the neglected mission field of addiction by sharing the gospel are contacting me for help, support, or guidance.
For so many years the modern Christian Church has turned the addict seeking help toward non-Biblical secular recovery programs that outright contradict the gospel of Jesus Christ. But we who seek to reach the addict with the simple message of the gospel are witnessing an amazing hunger for the truth of God's Word, and are seeing the power of the Holy Spirit through the gospel set addicts free from the clutches of sin and transform them into disciples of Jesus Christ.
I feel after much prayer and consideration that the Lord is leading me to now begin taking the message of the gospel through the Recovery Reformation ministry directly to the areas that we are being contacted from. The most common needs I am presented with almost daily are from people desiring to learn more about the gospel in God's Word in overcoming the sin of addiction and how to grow and be strengthened as a Christian without a solid Biblical Church and without Christian fellowship (people contact me constantly asking why it is so difficult to find a Church that simply preaches the gospel without compromise, and why hardly any Churches seem equipped to reach the addicted through the power of God's Word). I also receive inquiries from Christians who know and believe that addicts can be freed through the gospel when we rely on the authority and sufficiency of scripture. These Christians want to be a part of Recovery Reformation and help carry the message of the gospel to the addicted and very much want to learn how to do so. Because of this awesome opportunity the Lord has blessed me with I know it is now time to go where the Lord leads in reaching the addicted and helping those being called into ministry by teaching them how to bring the gospel into the darkness of addicted lives. I hope to begin as soon as provision allows to go where led and doors are opened by God's grace on ministry outreach trips to help these people so that they can help others.
As I have mentioned in previous updates, The Way Ministry has grown and been able to reach beyond what seems possible in spite of a budget that falls far short every month. I have been blessed by passionate and committed family members and brothers and sisters in the Lord who through their faithful support have enabled the ministry to continue but I now need and am asking that many more Christians prayerfully consider supporting this ministry on a monthly basis. It has become very clear that it is now time for me and the ministry to do far more in bringing the gospel of Jesus Christ to the neglected mission field of addiction - a mission field that covers the globe.
In 1 Corinthians 9:14 the apostle Paul writes, In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel. I am in a position and have been blessed with a driving desire to take the gospel through the ministry of Recovery Reformation far beyond what we are doing now. In order to do so I must be supported by Christians who understand the dire need – especially in the times in which we live to bring the gospel to those on the brink of destruction. I know I can do so much more and be so much more effective, but I need lots of help through the prayers and financial support of Christians who have been blessed with the means to provide for this work.
Imagine if groups of Christians – like those who reach out to this ministry for help and guidance because they have been blessed with a desire to see the gospel of Jesus Christ transform those trapped in addiction, could be equipped first hand to make their desire a reality. This is what needs to be done and I am willing to go to these people and share all I can with them, but in order for me to go I must have help through the prayers and financial support of Christians who have an understanding of the need and a passion to see the gospel reach those suffering in the sin of addiction. It is high time for faith to be restored in the authority and sufficiency of God's Word in combating the destructive and evil forces of addiction. 2 Timothy 3:16&17 says, All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. I firmly believe that, but sadly from what I have witnessed after years in ministering in this field is that when it comes to addiction most of the modern Christian Church has little or no faith in the UN-compromised Word of God. But our ministry has seen the power of the gospel transform lives and it is time to share it with many more.
Consider that secular drug rehabs charge thousands of dollars per week with a dismal record of success, basically an industry built on rehab – sobriety – relapse – rehab over and over again. I can reach people in the clutches of addiction free of charge with the gospel of Jesus Christ and teach others to do the same – that is what the Christian Church is supposed to do. Will you as a Christian please help me do this? God multiplies our gifts in order to bring the gospel to those trapped in the sin of addiction. Every gift helps and can be used by God for great things in raising up disciples to His glory.
Titus 3:14 says, And let our people learn to devote themselves to good works, so as to help cases of urgent need, and not be unfruitful. This is truly a mission field with an urgent and fast growing need, and if you will help then we can see a harvest brought in from this field for God's kingdom. Myself and others who help me in this ministry are willing to go where needed, we need you to partner with us and provide the financial support to make this a reality.
Please partner with me so that I can go much farther into this mission field. I have faith that our heavenly Father will meet every need as we seek first His kingdom.
